Lina and Julian, Part I: Getting Ready & Beach Ceremony

Sweet Lina and Julian first started dating as teenagers, and 13 years down the road, exactly one year ago today, we had the honour of helping make their wedding day dreams come true here on Ærø island. The couple wanted flower-filled day with an informal and intimate ceremony at the beach surrounded by their loved ones.

In addition to everything we did to carry out their vision in classic Danish Island Weddings style, the couple brought in vendors and products with them from Germany (and you can find a list of references at the bottom of this post) and added alot of unique DIY touches. All of this combined resulted in a very personal wedding day.

From Lina:
”We discovered Danish Island Weddings via Instagram and were shockingly in love with this individual concept from the sisters, because they really take care of everything, with great attention to detail. And so it was, from the first contact to the planning, everything was relaxed and they did everything they could to fulfill our every wish and make us feel special.
On the wedding day itself, we were overwhelmed by the setting and the warm service from the sisters, it was truly unique to sit on the beach and be officially married. I still remember saying to Julian during the ceremony: “How beautiful is everything here right now? This is our wedding, I’m so incredibly happy!”. The reception afterwards was also beautifully decorated and I still can’t believe that this was our wedding - it was simply magical!
And we can only recommend it to everyone to get married on Ærø, because nowhere else can you get married more individually and warmly! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our dream wedding come true!”
